Booking Fees

From 1st March 2023

MAIN HALL £17.00 per hour except Friday & Saturday after 6.00pm. –  £19.00 per hour
A weekday discount  applies for Holton Village Residents from Monday to Thursday making the Hall £13.00 per hour.

LOUNGE / COMMITTEE ROOM £10.00 per hour
A weekday discount of 25% applies for Holton Village Residents from Monday to Thursday.

Use of the fully equipped kitchen is included in the Main Hall room hire rates as is Wi-Fi access, all tables and chairs, crockery and cutlery.

Please enquire about access to the kitchen facilities when reserving the Lounge/Committee Room on its own.
A refundable damage and supplementary cleaning deposit of up to £150.00 may be required for any bookings of the Main Hall, Lounge/Committee Room or Orchard (see below).

Our popular discounted weekend package includes use of the whole building (excluding Orchard) from 6.00 p.m. on Friday until midnight on Saturday for an inclusive fee of only £500.00. This is a large discount of our regular hourly rate. The package may sometimes be available on other days too. Usually we expect bar service to be booked with this package.

The overnight arrangement makes it easy to prepare for a wedding or other special event whilst avoiding an unnecessary rush on the day itself.

The fully licensed bar can be booked in advance for weddings or other events for which there is a modest bar staff fee. We are always pleased to discuss your needs and to quote for them exactly. See information below.

HOLTON ORCHARD £5.00 per hour
Holton Orchard is a most pleasant small parkland adjacent to the Hall which may sometimes be available under a separate arrangement. This can be a very attractive extra feature to enjoy. Please ask the Bookings Secretaries about access to the Orchard and the way it may be used.

Booking the Bar

Holton Village Hall is rather special as we have a fully licensed bar which can usually be booked for functions in the Hall. This means you do not have the bother of applying for a separate licence for your event. The bar is usually bookable for a minimum of two hours between 7.30 p.m. and 11.00 p.m. We regret extensions beyond 11.00 p.m. are not permitted except on special occasions such as New Year’s Eve. To book the bar at an earlier time please contact the Bookings Secretaries and they will gladly advise on possibilities.

The Hall Management Committee normally provides two staff for the bar for whom a total service charge is made of £20.00 per hour. If you wish to serve wine or champagne with a meal (perhaps at a wedding reception) then, subject to prior agreement, it may be possible for you to do so at your own expense, to supplement the bar service. All other drinks must be sold from the bar. Please discuss what you would like to do with the Bookings Secretaries.

If you have no need for the Licensed Bar for your event then you may, subject to prior written agreement, serve alcoholic drinks yourself. However, licensing laws mean you must supply the alcoholic drinks free of charge to your guests. They may not be sold. Non-alcoholic drinks may be provided in any way you wish.

Please discuss your bar requirements with the Booking Secretaries when you make your reservation, as they will be able to advise you on the best arrangements for your event and what else you may need to do to finalise matters.
