Afternoon Teas at the Village Hall.
The afternoon teas at the Village Hall continue to be successful. Many thanks to everyone who helps for all their hard work. The dates in October will be on the 3rd, 17th and 31st and these will be from 2.30pm until 4.00pm as normal. These events are really enjoyed by all who attend so come along for Tea, Coffee, Cake and a chat with friends and neighbours.
Apple Pressing Saturday 5th October
The event will commence at 2.30pm and there will also be a Tombola run by the local W.I. Refreshments, tea, coffee and cake will be available in the Hall and cold cider will also be on sale. Bring along your apples to press into delicious juice and don’t forget to bring your bottles/containers to take your juice home in. If you don’t have your own apples, still come along as there will be apples available to pick in the Orchard. If you are able, please bring along your chopping board and knife.
Road Safety Week November 17th – November 23rd
Yes, the scarecrows are back. In conjunction with National Road Safety week the Village Road Safety Committee are once again running Holton Road Safety Week. It’s time to put out the scarecrows once again, all wearing hi-vis to remind drivers that the speed-limit in Holton is 20 mph. Lets beat our previous record of 17 scarecrows in Holton, so start building your scarecrows now.
