Afternoon Teas at the Village Hall.
The afternoon teas at the Village Hall continue to be successful. Many thanks to everyone who helps for all their hard work. The teas will be on October 16th and 30th – from 2:30 to 4pm as usual. These events are really enjoyed by all who attend so come along for Tea, Coffee, Cake and a chat with friends and neighbours.
Solar Panels
The Village Hall is planning to install Solar Panels in order to make us self-sufficient for electrical energy. A planning application has been submitted, watch out for developments. Flyers are being distributed throughout the village with further details.
50th Village Hall Anniversary
It will be fifty years in October since the Village Hall was opened. The Village Hall Committee have decided to commemorate the occasion by having a special extended tea on the 25th October starting at 3pm. There will be an archive display, a celebratory toast to all who have helped the Village Hall on its journey and a bar from 5pm for drinks, nibbles, cake and a complimentary glass of Prosecco or Holton apple juice. Quiz Night
There will be a special 50th anniversary quiz night on November 14th not 7th as advertised, 7pm for 7.30pm start. £10 per head including ‘Ploughman’s supper’, the bar will be open from 7pm Tickets in advance only – by Mon 10th November

Film Night
On the 28th November, 7.00 for 7.30 pm there will be a showing of ‘The Penguin Lessons’ starring Steve Coogan and Jonathan Pryce. This poignant comedy drama from director Peter Cattaneo follows an Englishman’s personal and political awakening after he adopts a penguin during a cataclysmic period in Argentine history.
